Tours in Phoenix

There's a great selection of tours that will keep entertained both the young and the mature. Here's a short list of tours available in Phoenix. Book hotels in Phoenix and make your vacation a lifetime experience.


The Sky Harbor International Airport of Phoenix offers group tours of the airport to children from first grade to high school. The groups are usually of 10 to 60 children and the tour lasts for about 1.5 hours. The tours are available October through May, outside December and local city holidays.


Fire Station tours are available for limited groups of children and ordinary citizens. The tours are conducted by the firefighters working at the stations and are controlled by the District Commander. The tour illustrates an ordinary day at the station, as well as gives a brief overview of the equipment used by fighters in different situations.


Park Tours are found all around the city with all types of tours, from historical to entertainment. Some parks charge an entrance fee, such as the Pueblo Grande Museum, where you can find historical Hohokam Indian ruins; or the Rosson House at the Historic Heritage Square.

Scheduled tours for students are available at the Phoenix Civic Plaza and Symphony Hall, where you can explore the backstage and stage areas, as well meet some performers.


The Phoenix Police Museum offers free tours to visitors with a detailed history of the Phoenix Police Department from its inauguration in the 1880s to the present. The tours are available from 9 AM to 3 PM and include an overview of jail cells, police cars and different equipment.


The Public Transit System Facility provides tours to the sites where the buses are housed, serviced and maintained. The tours also include a detailed description of a few from 100 jobs performed at the facility. The half-hour tours have a group number limit of 35 persons and are available Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 AM to 2 PM.


The 27th Avenue Solid Waste Management Transfer Facility provides free hour-long tours through the recycling sorting, mulching, garbage transfer, methane burn, and landfill facilities.
